Problems with Drywall Fumes?

Find out about recalls and class action lawsuits related to plaster and sheetrock

You've probably seen news items about bad drywall from China, or you've suffered the effects of breathing sulfur compounds that come out of drywall that gets exposed to humidity. Tons of imported Chinese Drywall contain contaminants that are ruining wiring in homes, destroying air conditioning coils, and potentially causing health problems for homeowners. Lennar Homes has already begun recalling and replacing drywall in Florida homes, even though it may have been installed by contractors. In humid areas, sulfur compounds are coming out of bad drywall, but anywhere with active construction, like Louisiana, Arizona, Nevada, and California, may have this same imported plaster board and sheetrock. Not all Chinese Drywall is bad, but if you suspect a problem, you should get it tested and see if you can be part of a class action lawsuit, or contact an attorney who may be able to get you a settlement depending on your unique case.
